Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

EloSpeak has no accounts, no ads, no trackers, and no analytics. Your practice data stays on your device. DAF is never recorded, and the only recordings are practice clips you choose to make, which stay on your phone.

Who we are

EloSpeak is a daily speech practice app for adults and teens who stutter. EloSpeak is a product of Qui Digital Labs LLC, which develops and operates it ("Qui Digital Labs", "we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. You can reach us at support@elospeakapp.com, or by mail at the address at the end of this policy.

What we collect

Nothing through the app. EloSpeak does not have accounts, never requires your name or email, and does not send your information to us or to anyone else. We do not use advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or tracking tools of any kind, and we do not sell or share personal information.

What stays on your device

To run your daily practice, the app keeps a small amount of information in its own storage on your device: your onboarding self-rating, your settings (breathing protocol, DAF delay, drill level, appearance, reminder time), and a log of your sessions (date, length, drill level, and the fluency rating you gave yourself), plus your streak, points, and badges. It also keeps anything you choose to add: your list of words and situations, your Ready for the Moment check-ins (the situation, whether you went for it, and how it felt), and your weekly confidence check-in answers. If you add your name to a clinician summary, it is kept too, so it is filled in next time.

If you add the EloSpeak widget to your home screen, it shows your streak and whether you practiced today, read from the same on-device data.

This information never leaves your device through EloSpeak. We cannot see it, and we have no copy of it.

The microphone

EloSpeak uses the microphone for two things. The first is Delayed Auditory Feedback (DAF), which plays your own voice back to you with a short delay. DAF audio is processed live on your device while DAF is on. It is never recorded, saved, transcribed, or uploaded. A level meter shows that the microphone is active.

The second is practice recordings. When you tap Record on a drill, a warm-up, or your words, the app saves that short clip on your device so you can listen back. Recordings are made only when you tap Record, are limited to 30 seconds each, stay in the app's storage on your device, are left out of device backups, and are never uploaded. Recording a clip again replaces the old one, and you can delete all recordings at any time in Settings.

Choral reading uses your phone's built-in text-to-speech voice, on the device, to read a practice passage aloud. The app does not use online voices for it.

Reminders

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a notification on your device at the time you choose. It is created and delivered by your phone's operating system. No reminder data is sent to us.

Subscriptions and payments

EloSpeak Plus is sold through the app store you downloaded EloSpeak from, such as Apple's App Store. The store handles your payment and billing information under its own privacy policy; we never receive your payment details. The app only asks the store, on your device, whether your subscription is active.

From time to time the app may ask whether you would like to rate it, using your app store's standard prompt. Anything you write there goes to the store, not to us.

Sharing with your clinician

Plus members can create a PDF summary of their practice, and a spreadsheet (an Excel workbook) of their sessions, Ready for the Moment check-ins, and weekly check-ins. Before the PDF is made, you can add your name and notes for your clinician; both are optional. Your name is remembered on your device for next time, and your notes are kept only until you close the app. Both files are made on your device and shared only when you tap Share and choose where to send them, such as a message or email you write yourself. Once you send them, they are handled by the app or person you sent them to.

Device backups

If you use iCloud Backup or Android backup, your phone may include EloSpeak's on-device data in your own backup, under your Apple or Google account and their privacy terms. This lets you keep your streak on a new phone. Practice recordings are left out of backups. You control backups in your device settings.

Our website

Our website, elospeakapp.com, uses no cookies, analytics, or tracking, and its fonts are served from our own site. It has no sign-up forms and does not ask for your email address or other personal information. Like any website, its hosting provider processes basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the site secure. If you email us at support@elospeakapp.com, our email provider stores your message, we use it only to reply to you, and you can ask us to delete it.

Children

EloSpeak is designed for adults and teens. It is not directed to children under 13, and because the app does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from children. Parents and guardians who want a child to use the app should use it together and speak with a speech-language pathologist.

Deleting your data

You can delete everything EloSpeak stores at any time: open Settings and tap Erase all practice data, or delete the app. Erasing also deletes your practice recordings, which you can also delete on their own in Settings. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing else to request from us. Data in your device backups is deleted through your Apple or Google backup settings.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal information a company holds about you. We hold none through the app. If you email us, we keep your message to answer it, and you can ask us to delete it. For any question or request, email support@elospeakapp.com and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If EloSpeak ever starts handling information differently, we will update this policy, change the date at the top, and point out important changes in the app before they take effect.
