Terms of Use

EloSpeak is a practice tool, not medical care. Plus renews until you cancel in your store account, and refunds are handled by your app store.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Qui Digital Labs LLC ("Qui Digital Labs", "we", "us"), which develops and operates EloSpeak, and they govern your use of the EloSpeak app. By using EloSpeak you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you downloaded EloSpeak from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

Not medical care

EloSpeak is a self-guided practice tool. It is not medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a licensed speech-language pathologist or other healthcare professional. It does not measure your speech. Fluency ratings in the app are your own self-ratings, not clinical measurements.

EloSpeak is designed for adults and teens 13 and older. If you are under 18, please use it with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

People who stutter respond to these techniques differently. We do not promise any particular result. If you have concerns about your speech, your health, or your wellbeing, please talk to a qualified professional.

Using DAF safely

Delayed Auditory Feedback plays your voice back with a delay, which can feel disorienting at first. Do not use it while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or anywhere you need full attention to your surroundings. Keep headphone volume at a comfortable, moderate level, and stop if you feel dizzy, anxious, or uncomfortable.

Free practice and EloSpeak Plus

The daily ten-minute practice is free. EloSpeak Plus is an optional subscription that adds features described in the app. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and are set by your store in your local currency, including any taxes the store applies. There are no other fees.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your app store's account settings. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.

If a free trial is offered to you, the app says so before you subscribe. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you are charged. Trials are available only to accounts that have not used one before.

Refunds

Payments are made to your app store, so it handles refunds under its own policies. For an App Store purchase, you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a Google Play purchase, you can request one through your Google Play order history. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but if something went wrong, email us and we will help however we can.

Your license

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use EloSpeak on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial practice. Please do not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the app or its content, or use it in any way that breaks the law.

Our content

The app, its design, practice content, and text belong to Qui Digital Labs LLC or its licensors. The EloSpeak name and logo are brands of Qui Digital Labs LLC. The fonts in the app are used under the SIL Open Font License, shown in the app's Licenses screen.

Disclaimers

EloSpeak is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error free, or that it will produce any specific outcome for your speech.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Qui Digital Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for EloSpeak Plus in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms as the app changes. If we make an important change, we will let you know in the app, and continuing to use EloSpeak afterward means you accept the new terms. You can stop using EloSpeak at any time by deleting it; remember to cancel any subscription in your store account.
